Re-Learning how to code

This one is short. I started to learn how to code. Back when I started my journey at Devry University(insert Family Guy Joke about how I got in here, or all the lawsuit scam reference here LOL) I choose the computing enterprise specialization for my degree. Little did I know I would do anything with IBM mainframes. However, beside the point, my classes did involve coding. Not sure how the track is now but the track went from Visual basic, to C#, HTML/JS/CSS, and then Java has the main coding course. We had SQL(SQUEEL, which in hind sight I should have pursuit more), but Java was the main OOP language. Lets just say, I sucked at it. Visual basic and C# made more since to me since there was aspects to the windows program we were making but I really did not push as hard as I should have going to school. I did try hard in some areas during those courses but really it wasn't engaging to me even though I really wanted it.

Regardless, fast forward I am back at it. I can understand how coding languages work so it was nice to have that formal schooling on it, but given how long its been from actually doing coding, its been tricky. I decided to actually learn a very hard language, Haskell. Its been talked by primeagen Youtube channel and it gets talked alot when referencing functional programming languages. I am by no means good at math what so ever, but I do like how somethings are one liners and some of its flows. Figuring doing something hard would be a nice kick. I know most people say oh you should do another language but I do enjoy it. I am not just learning that, also do python because why not. It is a good language to learn.

I am by no means trying to get jobs in this field or get into open source projects. I just want to learn the languages get proficient and put some software out for people to hopefully enjoy.
